The Story:
Italy 1938 - A woman immured alive in a secret room in 16th century and the one who finds her poor remains in 1938 are strongly connected by a Jewish enigma. Together with the skeleton of the so-called scarlet Lady, some mysterious papers are found. The manuscript's words contain a riddle that starts a breathless and life threatening chase through pre World War II Europe.

From the very first pages the reader finds himself in the scene, laid out in a small Italian village 35 miles north of Rome, where Letizia, a brave art historian, is leading the restoration works of an ancient aristocratic mansion.

Letizia, who already lost her dissident father to the new leader, is heavily threatened herself. But the love and the courage of a not streamlined Captain of the Italian Royal Army and the help of a prostitute will save her live and provide help and shelter on her search for the truth.

This novel, based on historical facts, takes you to Mussolini dominated Italy where the promulgation of the racial laws initiate a brutal persecution against Jews and narrates with strength and mastery an adventurous story of courage, heroism and true love.

The perfectly developed characters appear in front of your inner eye and drag you with them.

With profound literary foundation, a gripping and soulful prose, meticulous research, deep symbolic meanings and a very well written and composed plot, this novel immediately throws the reader in the middle of the action, and grabs him till the very last word.

- Read it and let others know about this new book, so they can have a great time too!
- Giada wrote it, you make it a bestseller.

The Author:
Giada Trebeschi, born in Italy 1973, who holds a PhD in history and two masters in literature and languages experienced not only sexual abuse during her time at university but also the fact that women are still today considered second class intellectuals that are, especially if they are good looking, considered to have to do or have done certain favours to their superiors to reach their goals. After having been rejected with the original, Italian version of her thriller “La Dama Ross” - “The Scarlet Lady” by more than twenty publishers, the biggest italian publishing company Mondadori, finally released "La Dama Rossa" in 2014 after it had been published in Spanish in 2013. But corruption, demand for “favours” and harassment went on following her.
